Audemars Piguet’s latest openworked perpetual calendars introduce calibre 7139 in two 41 mm watches: a Royal Oak and a Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet.

One movement, two distinct designs

The Royal Oak combines titanium with Bulk Metallic Glass. The Code 11.59 becomes the collection’s first openworked perpetual calendar. Both expose the movement’s architecture through sapphire dials.

Calibre 7139 measures 4.1 mm thick, operates at 4 Hz and offers a 55-hour power reserve. Its all-in-one crown system brings calendar correction to the crown, making operation a central part of the update.

Our reading of the launch: the key comparison is between two design languages built around the same complication. Case material, wrist presence and dial legibility are useful points to assess alongside the movement.
