Patek Philippe takes the Cubitus into Grand Complication territory with reference 5840P-001. The platinum model introduces a perpetual calendar and an openworked blue dial that reveals a movement shaped to follow the case.

A square calibre beneath a striped dial

Self-winding calibre 28-28 Q SQU uses a skeletonised mainplate and bridges. Finely cut horizontal strips across the dial preserve the Cubitus pattern while opening a view into the mechanism. The display includes calendar indications and moon phases.

The case measures 45 mm on the diagonal and 10 mm thick, with a baguette-cut diamond at 6 o’clock. A navy composite strap completes the watch. It is a significant expansion of the collection’s mechanical scope.
